Permission To Rest

Yoga instructor

Emma Graham is a yoga instructor and menopause trainer based in Clevedon. Her work spans yoga classes, yoga nidra, retreats and menopause workshops, creating space for women to rest, restore and reconnect with their own energy. She came to me needing a brand identity and website that could hold that intention visually: calm and professional, distinctive enough to stand out in a crowded wellness market.

Services:
– Website design
– Brand identity

Challenge

Permission to Rest was a new business, which meant building the brand from scratch with no existing visual identity to build from. The design needed to communicate the restorative quality of Emma’s work and the specific experience of midlife women navigating menopause, while positioning her as a credible, professional practitioner in a sector where it can be hard to stand out.

The challenge was to create something that felt genuinely grounded rather than simply soft and professional to appeal to both indivisuals and corporates.

Approach

To bring Emma’s vision to life, we embraced design elements that reflect the essence of her yoga nidra practice and the peaceful moments she fosters for her clients. The colour palette draws inspiration from the serene tones of golden hour, evoking warmth, tranquility and renewal. The circular and crescent shapes of the logo, symbolising the sun and moon, were chosen to represent cyclical rest and rebirth, anchoring the brand in the natural rhythms of life.

The soft hues and golden tones of the colour palette create a welcoming atmosphere, promoting calm and trust. Together with the intuitive website design, we ensured a smooth, simple navigation experience where visitors can easily explore resources, book classes and learn about Emma’s service.

Solution

Emma now has a brand identity and website that communicate the depth and calm of her work from the first impression. The visual identity is distinctive enough to stand out in a crowded market and considered enough to attract the women she is best placed to help.

The site gives her a platform to launch and grow Permission to Rest with confidence, knowing her digital presence reflects the standard and intention of her practice. Since launch, Emma has expanded to include an apothecary range, with the website continuing to support her business as it evolves.

“I am in awe of what Ali has created! From the very first conversation, she had an extraordinary way of asking just the right questions, uncovering the heart of my mission and values. Her thoughtful approach made me feel completely supported throughout the process and her creativity inspired me. A true collaborative partnership.

Ali has this gift for teasing out the gold dust – the little details and big ideas that truly matter – and weaving them seamlessly into a website and brand that feels authentically me. Permission to Rest reflects not just my services but the soul of what I offer to the world.

You’re one in a million! Thank you so much Ali for all your help in bringing Permission To Rest to life. I couldn’t have done it without all your incredible creativity, expertise and dedication and I am so proud of by logo, branding and the entire website.
