About Ali Swanton

Strategic Squarespace websites, shaped by 20 years of design, marketing and communications.

I've spent my career at the intersection of creativity, strategy and communication

I have an illustration degree and spent 16 years in marketing and communications, most of that time in publishing, an industry built on positioning expertise for the right audience.

I launched my business in 2017. In 2023 I refined my focus to specialise exclusively in Squarespace website design for established practitioners, consultants and leaders, bringing everything I know about design, positioning and communication into one clear, considered offering.

Who I work with

I work with people who are several years into their work and whose website belongs to an earlier version of their business. People who are ready for a website that finally reflects the depth and maturity of what they do.

  • Coaches, therapists and wellness practitioners who are helping people grow, heal and transform, often launching new programmes, retreats or workshops to reach wider audiences.

  • Consultants, authors and speakers who are refining their signature offerings, writing books, sharing their ideas on larger stages and speaking at industry events.

Across all these roles, my clients are stepping into opportunities where their expertise is recognised, their contributions are valued and they can make a bigger impact. Their website should reflect that.

My beliefs

These are the principles that guide me in both life and work:

1) Do what you love

Create a business and life that aligns with your purpose. This is your legacy work and I’m here to help you express it clearly and confidently. The world needs your crystalised wisdom and I’m here to help you share it in ways that resonate and inspire.

2) Thoughtful, intentional design creates meaningful impact

When every detail is considered, your work feels well crafted, grounded and real. I bring a sensitive and intuitive lens to every project, listening to the heart of your business and connecting it with the needs of your audience.

3) There's no one way of doing things

Every business has its own story and every person has their own path. The best results come from tuning into what feels right for you: a holistic approach that aligns your values, skills and knowledge with the desires of your clients.

4) Great things are rarely achieved alone

Together, we can create something greater than the sum of its parts. The magic happens when ideas flow, strengths combine and a shared vision takes shape. I bring myself fully to every collaboration and I find that's when the best work emerges.

5) There’s beauty, joy and magic in the world; we just need to be open to it

As someone who feels the world deeply, I see beauty and joy not only in grand gestures but in life’s smaller moments. These reassure us, offer us glimmers of hope and a reminder that life is layered with meaning and worth savouring.

Joyful things outside of my cosy studio

I’m naturally introverted and highly sensitive, so I recharge best in quiet, restorative spaces. I love spending time in nature: woodland walks, gardening and tending to flowers.

I also enjoy reading, journalling, pilates and good food. These things nourish me and help keep my creativity steady.

When it comes to working with people, I’m most energised by deep, meaningful conversation. This is the kind of energy I bring to every project.

“You've helped me in lots of ways, Ali. I chose to work with you because you are not afraid to be honest and you are good at what you do. Plus, you're a calming influence and generally nice to be around!”
