Ian Clark

Photographer

Ian, a self-taught photographer based near Bristol, wanted a portfolio website to showcase his Bristol cityscapes, landscapes and abstract photography. He needed a clean, organised site that put his images front and centre and encouraged potential clients to get in touch.

Service

– Aligned Website Design

Approach

We structured the portfolio into four galleries (Bristol, UK; Nature; Travel; Abstract), so visitors could explore his work thematically. A monochrome palette of white, grey and black keeps the focus on the images. Antic Didone, a serif font that looks handwritten and adds subtle texture and personality, was used for headings, paired with Commissioner for body text. Gentle animation effects create a soft, engaging experience without distraction.

As part of every Bloom Website Package, content support is included. Drawing on my 16-year marketing and communications career, I refined Ian’s homepage tagline and About page copy to clearly convey his style, philosophy and achievements.

Solution

The final site is a cohesive, elegant portfolio that highlights Ian’s photography and reflects his artistic vision. Visitors can explore his work easily, understand his approach and get in touch for potential projects, all on a polished Squarespace site designed to showcase his images and be simple for him to manage going forward.
